Common questions about Turkey visa applications

What must the Turkey visa employment letter include? +
The Turkey visa requires an original employment letter from your U.S. employer on company letterhead. It must confirm that you are currently employed, that you have been approved for vacation time covering your travel dates, and that you will return to your position in the United States after your trip. A generic letter that omits these specific points is a common reason for delay or rejection. We review your employment letter at our counter before submission.
What is the difference between the Turkey single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visa? +
Both are valid for 3 months. The single-entry visa costs $60 and allows one entry into Turkey. The multiple-entry visa costs $200 and allows unlimited entries within the 3-month validity. If your itinerary includes crossing into Greece, Bulgaria, or another neighboring country and returning to Turkey, you need the multiple-entry visa. Call us at (310) 402-1619 and we will confirm which type fits your trip.
Do I need a bank statement to apply for a Turkey visa? +
Yes. The Turkish consulate requires a copy of your most recent bank statement as evidence of sufficient funds to cover your stay. The statement does not need to show a specific minimum balance, but it should reflect reasonable financial stability relative to your travel duration. We review your bank statement at our counter before submission to confirm it meets current consulate expectations.
Do I need a flight itinerary to apply for a Turkey visa? +
No. A confirmed flight itinerary is helpful but not required for the Turkey visa. If you have a booking, include a copy — it supports your application. If your travel dates are not yet finalized, you can still proceed with the rest of your documents. We review your full package at our counter before anything is submitted.
Can I apply for a Turkey visa by mail from outside Los Angeles? +
Yes. Mail us your passport, completed and signed Turkey visa application, employment letter, bank statement, 2x2 visa photo, a copy of your photo ID, and a completed Service Order Form. We verify everything, handle the consulate submission, and return your passport via FedEx. Call us at (310) 402-1619 before mailing to confirm the current turnaround time and exact package required.
