To qualify, your most recent U.S. Passport:
- Is undamaged and can be submitted with your application.
- Was issued when you were age 16 or older.
- Was issued within the last 15 years.
- Was issued in your current name or you can legally document.
If you have a previously issued passport card, please include it.
How to Apply
- Do not sign the application until instructed to do so.
- You must provide a Social Security number, if you have been issued one, in accordance with 22 U.S.C. 2714a and 22 C.F.R 51.60(f)
You must present one of the following identification documents (IDs).
- Fully-valid U.S. driver’s license
- Fully-valid, undamaged U.S. passport (may be expired)
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
- Government employee ID (city, county, state or federal)
- U.S. military ID or military dependent ID
- Valid foreign passport
- Matricula Consular (Mexican Consular Identification, commonly used by the parent of a U.S. citizen child applicant)
- You must submit your current undamaged passport.
- The expired passport will be returned to you along with the new passport.
- If you have a copy of your flight itinerary or ticket, please include it.
- If you do not have a travel itinerary or a ticket, it’s okay.
- Passport photo services available at our offices.
- Must be 2″ x 2″ on a white background.
- Photo must not be older than one month.
In the event that you changed your name due to marriage or divorce, you will need to bring in a certified copy of your marriage certificate or a court decree that shows your name change.

Do I qualify to renew my passport at Sameday Chicago?
You qualify for renewal if your most recent US passport is undamaged and can be submitted with your application, was issued when you were age 16 or older, was issued within the last 15 years, and is in your current name or you can legally document a name change. Sameday can obtain a money order for you for an additional $10.00 fee. Sameday service fee ranges from $199 to $399 depending on processing speed, payable by debit card, cash, or check. Optional FedEx return shipping starts at $48.

Our fastest option is 4 to 7 business days at $399. We also offer 10 to 14 days at $299, 21 days at $249, and 4 to 6 weeks at $199. Walk in Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5PM. Saturday is 10AM to 2PM by appointment only.
Can I renew my passport by mail through Sameday Chicago?
Yes. If you cannot visit our office in person, we accept passport renewal applications by mail.
